This has been a great football weekend. Even though, I do not know stats, jersey number and team history as my brothers do, I grew up cheering on my brother's favorite teams and enjoying a good game. This weekend, i cheered on my sister's Texans, as she stood amongst the crowds at Reliant Stadium, I shared in her excitement of having coveted tickets to the playoff games and hear all about pre-game, post game, and even some mid-game details. Saint's game was amazing- congrats to the hubby's hometown. The Falcons-mine- not so much! And what about that guy named Tebow, wow! That's what makes a great weekend of football.
Reviewed the budget, made groceries, got my physical one, and did a lot of reading. I actually realized that I can read two books at once. Interesting. Everyday learning how to do the Twitter thing- I think?!
I am convinced that the more you seek the more you attain. In all levels and aspects of your life. I am continually challenging myself to seek more.
I am reading Glenn Beck's latest book THE 7 WONDERS THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE and even though i picked it up more for a quick read on biographical nature than a retrospective look. The only words i read on the back sleeve were "just thirteen when his mother committed suicide" before walking to the checkout line with my bananas and creamer. It has been a poignant approach to greater personal development by using "7 wonders": Courage, Faith, truth, compassion, friendship, family, and common sense to draw personal self analysis. At one point its about coincides and reasons things are brought into our lives, in our paths. It made me think about something that has been put in my path or interestingly enough I requested, didn't get it the first time and now it's come back into my path and it might be needed more by the source than the requester. I am leaving that in general terms as to be able to fully ascertain the situation or... Let's just call it #thewill. More on it in later posts.
The second that has hit me personally from this book is #3 Truth... I think I am going to read this chapter again because it is deep.
As far as smaller objectives listed in my #FinishYear challenge- we are moving along victoriously and proudly having involved and received ample cooperation from the kiddos. They are wonderful and I keep adding to my FinishYear lists in my Entreleadership "moleskin journal" book. Today we added #ProjectLife project to our fun things to do.
Two things I'm working on is TIME MANAGEMENT and DECISION MAKING. I am going to start making my morning TO-DO LISTS and let the extra 20% come on. 20% = those charts I lug around from office to home, home to office. Oh! how I do look forward to NOT lugging you around.
Gotta go its prayer time with the kiddos

Golds your prodigal daughter has returned
In this very seat I have cried, prayed, asked for strength, forgiveness, and clarity harder and deeper than in any other seat. Today is especially significant because over and over again I am convinced that the more you seek the more you attain. Not sure if I can physically do power class after SPIN, but I do believe in this YET AGAIN. Gold's your prodigal daughter has returned.

Day 6⃣ this is Fridays post I did not hit Publish today has been about a lot of reading self analysis and learning
My hubby proceeding to claim... "You guys are a bunch of pansies" after over hearing my conversation with my closest ally and confidant, (R). After listening to me crawl up like a little kid and complain why, and whine, and compare, and why, why was this happening??? ... He said just said, "you guys are use to being babysat and that has ended". Ouch!!! This is NOT for the thin- skinned. This is corporate and a new life. Can we fit in? I came to te conclusion that either you do or find a better suited environment for each of character and personality. Period. Pretty soon that decision may not even be ours to take.
It was evident that we still miss our beloved Dr. Eichel. It's absolutely astonishing to me that I actually had this once in a lifetime opportunity to work for one of those people who worked with their hearts and gained not only so much following but also loyalty.
I love my job. I can't tell you a day that goes by that I can't think of some detail and not say..."That's why I am here today, because of this!".
I started asking the why? Simon Sinet's WHY! That is simple: because of the KIDS. Today, we experienced a turn around- a kid who was absolutely petrified of the needle- the idea the word made an 11 year old lose it. Now there is NOT much you can do to coerce a kid this age- you must WIN HIM OVER, gain his trust and that my friends we did. As he peacefully left our office- I just couldn't believe that that was the same kid who was yelling, and kicking, and ready to do a super nova explosion and become the embodiment of the Human torch in my very office. We won him over that moments later he returned alone, i thought was to apologize yet one more as mom did before leaving at least 3 times by saying, "i apologize for the show". He walked in to get his school excuse, and I printed it for him and came around the counter and told him" you see I believed that you could just tough it out and you did". He just kind of shook his head up and down and left. That is my WHY.

Day 3⃣ #FinishYear and Tuesday Task
Well I have been really amused by Jon Acuff lately and have read or listened to QUITTER at least 3 times now and I truly encourage you to do the same- at least once. Not only if you are trying to find your "dream job", but also if you just want to make head o r tails if you still fit in at your paycheck providing establishment. Great read. I am thoroughly impressed by simple people that make so much sense. I have been surrounded by the very studied for most of my adult life, but the biggest lessons I have learned, have been of the simple and very practical. Interesting enough with such unstudied and unrehearsed view points, from hearts deeper and faiths stronger than any 8 years of study. My current role models: Zig Ziglar, Dave Ramsey and Jon Acuff. I have worked for doctors in many fields of medicine and have learned much, I have been given great opportunities to work for and learn from ... Wow I think I just had an epiphany as I am writing this. I always use to describe one such "studied" employer as the "one who was the toughest, but taught me the most". I think at this very moment I realize that actually the learning from was not from whom but from WITHIN- she pushed me to reach deep inside and pull that strength, stop crying and "handle it". (She made me cry many of times, many). She made be accurate and precise. She made me develop excellent customer service techniques. She accepted NOTHING less, she made me excel. Do those hard experiences in life hinder or make you excel? Someone in a higher position recently wrote me an email and it read "in life we give others opportunities and some take it and fly with it, you took it..." I have been given many great opportunities in life. It is my responsibility to learn and develop character from within and "fly with it". What opportunities have you been given and did you fly with it?

Day 2⃣ of 2012... Today was a great day!!!
It started almost surreal...did I really sleep in until 8:45a.m. I know the clock reads 9:00, but that's my 15 minute snooze button allotment 💤 . I started with a little housekeeping, a healthy breakfast, and budget spreadsheet update and synchronization on all devices. The day got even better when i received a call that someone had found my "fatty", Meigouzi. It is amazing!!! My baby has been roaming and finally a dog lover found and cared for him and turned him in to a local vet office where ---get this, my neighbor works and she ecstatically called me. The first thing I did was have him microchipped. Reviewed our budget for January and we are on track for a great 2012. The kids seem excited with the daily family goals and have been cooperative. So happy for my family. May peace and love continue to cradle our family.

Day 1⃣New blog ROCKYWASH
I decided to create a new blog because my "mybiggestwinnerchallenge" blog started as a weight loss journey and as proud as I am of that blog, my first, I think it was time to move on to more general subjects. Hence "rockywash" was created.
day 1: Today was a great day. We dreamed with such vivid details that we saw our near future. Way to go familia. We got alot done today and started on our 2012 objectives. Jon Acuff challenged everyone to start a list of goals you would FINISH in 2012. I have been sharing Zig Ziglar's "wheel of life" theory, the 7 areas of your life that must be fully functioning in order to be successful and happy. I am using these to determined my personal and family goals for 2012. We listed them in order of what we considered most important.
1) Spiritual 2) Family 3) Physical 4) Intellectual 5) Financial 6) Social 7) Career. I listed many of our objectives. Instead of 7 goals or objectives, it became many under each category.
What are your goals to begin in 2012? I am an avid proponent of journaling thoughts, ideas, feelings, and everyday experiences down. Therefore, I used a well known technique to clearly state my 2012 objectives and share them in this platform. YOU MUST WRITE THEM DOWN IN ORDER TO REMAIN ACCOUNTABLE. Furthermore, you not only feel a sense of responsibility to follow through but also acquire cheerleaders to help you attain them. am sure the list will be edited along the way as completed ones get marked off and news ones enter the list.
