7 days to make your week a success

So my dashboard indicates that my last post was Early 2011. So it's about time I get back on track. Usually the saying goes... " jump on the bandwagon" which is quite factual for this time of year when new resolutions are promised and inspirations are remembered.  Rather than a temporary fix, I have chosen to make some good choices for myself and my family. I thoroughly have enjoyed going to the gym with my children Chris and Gaby. They are beast. Really! they inspire me to push and become better. We now have a family show that we have been following for 2weeks. Yes, it's The Biggest Loser. we watch, we cheer on, predict the outcomes during commercials, and spend time together.  But for me, other feelings are keenly awaken, I relive the tears, the pain. I know that pain, the shame, and also the success. It's attainable.  As the show was concluding, Chris looks at me and says, "Dolvette is so inspirational". It's funny how each of us has a specific trainer that  we prefer. Their role to assist healing the inside to redefine the outside. In reality, it so totally begins with the emotional side of it before the physical. We clearly see how each of the trainers has a certain method.  Eventhough, Dolvette moves my emotional side, I think this go round Jillian is better for me. Just because of her unbreakable resistance to Pam's emotional needs. She asks "Why you crying?" (and no not in a Jorge Lopez voice). It's a scary voice, impatient, and unapologetic. Just what I need now. No more excuses Raquel do the work, get the results. period.

So with all these good feelings today, I thought of some ways to be positive, "inspirational"  and encourage you to play along. Lets make this our day, our week, our month, our year, our life - a great one. Create a great life, enjoy and share it.

"Make it happen" Mondays: No excuses, no obstacles, no bad choices- Just make it happen! Go to the gym, journal your food consumption, make positive choices. no no' s today. No I will start tomorrow, no MAKE IT HAPPEN today!

"Taunting" Tuesdays: a taunt is defined as a "battle cry" to produce a reactionary behavior. Usually after what goes on the day before we tend to coast downhill, just making it through the remaining of the week. Rather make a battle cry, make mantra on Tuesday and reclaim your successful, productive week early on. Recite your taunt when you can't take that other step, when you really want that 500 calorie poison, when your emotions want to overshadow your will. Taunt yourself with these words.

"Warrior" Wednesdays: Work as hard as you can determined to make this the best week ever. Fight a great battle with the distractions, the temptations, the setbacks. Be a warrior for your health, your finances, your well being. Be a warrior.

"Thankful" Thursdays: Be appreciative and aware of the positive influences in your life whether your cheerleaders at the gym that greet you positively, the extra money in your account from cooking at home, or the breath you take a this moment to enjoy with your spouse and/ or children. Be thankful for the ability to recognize the GOOD in your life. Appreciation allows you to buildup your confidence, your resistance, and dedication to your goals. Be Thankful.

"Friends & Family time" Fridays: Usually Fridays are the let go day, we tell ourselves: "I've worked so hard, I've done so much" - let me reward myself by (actually punishing) myself. Overindulgence is common on Fridays. Rather enjoy this day to connect and positively recharge the important things in life. Share your goals in your conversations today. You will draw positive reinforcement in sources you didn't know existed. Instead of the couch and the DVR, find time to spend time with family and Friends.

"Specific" Saturdays: Consider it your freebie day, not meaning setting back all that you've accomplished all week. Rather a day to be "specific" in your needs. Start your day early, get in that extra workout in, that day to tie up lose ends at what we can improve, what we can do differently. Plan, prepare, and participate in making specific goals for yourself. Be Specific.

"Spiritual" Sundays: Whether its your day to reconnect spiritually with your faith our meditate in your beliefs. ('cause we all need Jesus, I'm juss sayin) Sunday is a great day to sit back, contemplate on the week before you and your emotional, physical, and spiritual goals. Prayer helps. Spirituality means redefining ourselves "to the image of God". Healthy, happy, and holy. Take time to redefine ourselves. Take time to Heal yourself.

I sometimes get lost in big projects, just thinking of the immencity of a task discourages my otherwise fully determined and crafty, self-started.  So lets start by focusing on one day at a time. A simple method to face each day fulling confident that today is going to be a great day.

Create a beautiful life.
